Anderson Peters, who secured bronze in Paris, won the event with a formidable 90.61m throw, pushing Neeraj to second place. Julian Weber of Germany finished third with an impressive 88.37 m throw.
Neeraj’s path through the tournament was a combination of difficulty and accomplishment.
