In a bid to increase revenue, Municipal Corporation (MC) is preparing to build CNG stations at both its petrol pumps. This was decided by UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore at the inauguration of the petrol pump in Sector-51.
The MC is currently facing financial crisis and has tried to raise some revenue by opening petrol pumps in Sector-51 and Industrial Area.
Corporation Commissioner KK Yadav said that there is a suitable place for CNG stations at the petrol pump. These two petrol pumps are estimated to bring in 2 crore every year and with the CNG station, the space will be better utilised.
