Chandigarh Mayor Raj Bala Malik was admitted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) on Thursday night. She had tested positive for Covid-19 on September 16 and was in home isolation since then.
She was shifted to PGI after her oxygen saturation levels dropped.
“Her vitals are stable and she is on a venturi mask for giving high flow of oxygen supply,” sources said.
On September 15, Senior Deputy Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma had also tested positive for Covid.
