Launch of COVID Vaccination for the age group of 12 yr to 14 yr from March 16 in Chandigarh

tye UT Administration today launched CorBevax Vaccination schedule for children of 12 years to 14 years.

CorBEvax Vaccination of Children (12 yrs to 14yrs): Targeted Population is 45,000. As per directions of the Govt of India, COVID vaccination of 12-14-year age group is being launched in Chandigarh from tomorrow. “The child should not be less than 12 years of age on the date of vaccination. Beneficiaries can get themselves registered on Co-WIN App and also on-site. Adequate doses of CorBEvax vaccine have already been received in the Health Department of the Chandigarh Administration,” said a spokesperson.

“COVAXIN Vaccination of Children (15 yrs to 18 yrs): The targeted population in Chandigarh is 72,000. It started from 3rd January 2022 and so far, the UT Chandigarh could vaccinate about 83% with first dose and 44% with both the doses. Continuous special vaccination camps were organized in schools, during the last two months, with the assistance of the Education Department. COVISHIELD Vaccination for 18 yrs and above: The targeted population of 18 years and above in UT Chandigarh is 8,43,000. All the targeted population has already been given both the doses of the vaccine. Precaution Dose (COVISHIELD) for all 18 years and above: The targeted population is 78,000. It is being launched in Chandigarh from tomorrow i.e. 16th March 2022. There must be a gap of 09 months i.e. 39 weeks from the date administration of 2nd dose. From tomorrow i.e. 16.03.2022, the COVID Vaccination will be administered in UT Chandigarh,” he added.
