Recent reports have claimed that actor Jr NTR has lodged a lawsuit concerning a 21-year-old land issue at the Telangana High Court. Nonetheless Jr NTRs crew is adamant that this assertion is false. By clarifying what they actually mean is that Jr NTR sold the said piece of land more than ten years ago.
In a statement released by his team, they asserted that “Mr. NTR sold the property in 2013.” The statement is meant to clarify that the actor was not part of any court case concerning the property.
The initial reports suggested that Jr NTR had approached the Telangana High Court seeking relief over a property dispute in Jubilee Hills. The reports claimed that Jr NTR alleged that relatives of the previous owner had fabricated documents to secure loans from banks using the land as collateral. It was stated that Jr NTR purchased the 681-square-yard plot in Jubilee Hills in 2003 for Rs 36 lakh, and had since built a luxurious house on it. The current value of the property was estimated at Rs 24 crore.
Furthermore, the reports mentioned that the Debt Recovery Tribunal had issued an order prioritizing the banks’ claims over the property. They also alleged that Jr NTR, in his court plea, stated, “The title documents pledged with the banks and the title documents I have with me were sent to the forensic laboratory, and my documents were confirmed to be genuine. All the bankers are now facing criminal charges,” which was purportedly his reason for approaching the court instead of the Debt Recovery Tribunal.
Despite these detailed claims, Jr NTR’s team has categorically denied any current involvement in the matter, emphasizing that the property was sold in 2013, and thus, he has no standing interest in any dispute related to it.
