ISIS Terrorist Nabbed Near Delhi-Faridabad Border

Under a big anti-terrorism operation, Rizwan Ali — an alarming ISIS terrorist — was caught by the Delhi Police Special Cell near the Delhi-Faridabad border. The detain happened on August 8th, 2024 based on information received.  

Rizwan Ali, a native of Daryaganj, Delhi, was sought by the NIA and had a Rs 3 lakh bounty on his head. He allegedly belonged to the ISIS Pune module and escaped from Pune Police custody in July 2023. 

Ali was found to have three live cartridges and an illegal handgun by Delhi Police during the arrest. According to preliminary findings, he may have been conducting reconnaissance in preparation for an assault on prominent sites in the Delhi-NCR area.   

The arrest of Rizwan Ali indicates how careful Indian security services are in combating terrorism and gives ISIS a big hit. In the course of investigations, more details about his terror plans and associates are likely to emerge.

Ali is the subject of an Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), Arms Act, and Explosives Act complaint filed by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. To learn more about his friends and the degree of his engagement in terror operations, he is presently being questioned.
