IRCTC offers 10-days religious trip, board train at Chandigarh

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is offering a 10-day trip to visit religious places such as Gaya, Baidyanath, Gangasagar and Puri from April 1.

On April 1, the AC train will run from Jalandhar at 5am and reach Chandigarh at 8.30am via Ludhiana. For the first time, five coaches of third AC have been included along with five compartments for sleeping.

The online booking has started on the official website: https://www.irctc.co.in/nget/ or in the regional office located in Sector-34, Chandigarh. 

Passengers will also be served breakfast, lunch and dinner. As many as 18 18 boarding stations have been set up for tourists from Punjab, Haryana, UP and Delhi for the Yatra.

These include Jalandhar City, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Delhi Cantt, Rewari, Alwar, Jaipur, Agra Fort, Etawah, Kanpur, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Jaunpur City and Varanasi. 

Shubham Arya, spokesperson of IRCTC, said that this special train will go to religious places like Baidyanath, Gangasagar, Puri, Konark and Gaya. Food and water will be made available to the passengers in the tour package and the charge will be ₹9,450 per person and ₹15,750 for third AC. No additional fee will be charged in any way and bus will be available for the travellers to visit tourist places.
