Seven Congress MLAs were inducted as ministers in the Himachal Pradesh Government on Sunday as Chief Minister Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expanded his Cabinet. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath to the newly inducted ministers at a ceremony at the Raj Bhawan.
Three-time MLA from Solan (SC) assembly constituency Dhani Ram Shandil was the first to take oath as Minister.Other ministers include Chander Kumar from Kangra, Harshwardhan Chauhan from Sirmaur, Jagat Singh Negi from Kinnaur, and Vikramaditya Singh, Anirudh Singh and Rohit Thakur from Shimla.
While Shimla district got three ministers, only Chander Kumar has been made minister from Kangra. Congress won seven out of eight seats in Shimla district, and in Kangra it had won 10 seats our of 15. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sukhvider Singh Sukhu today administered oath of office and secrecy to six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries here today.
