Haryana imposes weekend lockdown in Panchkula, Gurugram & 7 more districts

Haryana government has imposed a weekend lockdown in nine districts starting from Friday (April 30) from 10pm till 5am on Monday. The nine districts are Panchkula, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Rohtak, Karnal Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad.

“The residents must stay indoors during the lockdown. No person shall leave their home or shall move out on foot or by vehicle or travel or stand or roam on around any road or the public places during the said hours,” the order read.

Movement of following person shall be exempted:

-those tasked with law and order/emergencies and municipal services/duties.

-those appearing in exams or on examination duty on the production of an admit card/identity card.

-those engaged in manufacture of essential goods.

-there shall be no curbs on movement (inter and intra state) of essential and non-essential goods.

-passengers going to or returning from airport or railway station, ISBT/bus station.

-all marriage functions which have taken prior permission from the concerned district magistrate.
