Haryana governor tests positive for Covid 19

Haryana governor Satyadev Narayan Arya, 83, was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, on Monday after testing positive for Covid-19.

A senior doctor at Fortis said the governor was admitted on Monday after he tested positive for Covid-19. He is suffering from a lung infection and is in the intensive care unit.

Another official said samples of his family members and staff will also be tested and his close contacts have been asked to isolate themselves. Also, former Haryana minister Om Prakash Jain died on Monday at a private hospital in Delhi due to Covid and lungs infection. He was transport minister during the Congress government regime and had contested Assembly election from Panipat rural constituency on the Congress ticket.
