Haryana government has made significant changes in the process of getting a new family identity card. Now only one member of the family will need to go to the Common Service Centre and get the identity card made.
The whole family does not need to go now. The member visiting the Common Service Centre should know the annual income with the permission of the family, along with the knowledge of agricultural land.
According to the latest directive, it is mandatory for all family members to have an Aadhaar card. Members above the age of 18 years will need a voter card.
Members of the family who have a birth certificate must attach it. A copy of the bank account of a member above 21 years should also be given along with the document.
BPL card holders will have to submit a copy of the ration card. It is also necessary to submit a copy of the certificate of disability.
Family identity card is required for:
- For admission to school, college
- Will be needed to open a bank account
- Will be required to make any certificate
- Necessary for any government business
