Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana CM tested positive for COVID

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar tested positive for coronavirus on Monday.

Revealing this, he tweeted, “I have tested for Novel Corona Virus today. I appeal to all colleagues and associates who came in my contact over the last week to get tested. I request my close contacts to move into strict quarantine immediately.”

I was tested for Novel Corona Virus today. My test report has returned positive.

This news comes hours after Haryana Speaker Gian Chand Gupta tested positive.

Haryana Assembly is scheduled to convene for Monsoon Session on August 26. Two MLAs have also tested positive, as did Gupta’s political secretary, his nephew and the six Assembly staff.

Last week, the Speaker had decided that only those who test negative for coronavirus would be allowed to attend the session.
