In a significant push for national pride and environmental responsibility, Haryana and Chandigarh are gearing up for the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, which will run from August 11 to August 15. The campaign aims to encourage residents to display the national flag at their homes and engage in various patriotic activities.
Haryana Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad announced that each day of the campaign will be managed by a different government department, culminating in key events at “Amrit Sarovars” on August 15. These events will include the hoisting of the national flag, planting saplings, and broadcasting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation. Additionally, the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign will be launched in mission mode, with an ambitious goal of planting 51 lakh saplings on August 16. This initiative not only aims to strengthen citizens’ connection to the national flag but also to foster unity and a sense of patriotism while promoting environmental sustainability.
Complementing Haryana’s efforts, the Chandigarh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will distribute 70,000 national flags to residents. Starting August 11, BJP workers will go door-to-door to encourage residents to participate in the campaign by displaying the flag on Independence Day. City BJP president Jatinder Pal Malhotra emphasized that this initiative embodies a commitment to nation-building and aims to evoke feelings of patriotism among citizens.
Together, these initiatives from Haryana and Chandigarh represent a unified effort to celebrate India’s independence, promote environmental sustainability, and instil a strong sense of national pride among the people. As both regions come together for this campaign, they highlight the importance of collective action in fostering a better future for the nation.
