Corona examination of patients coming to outpatient department (OPD) has started in Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, on Tuesday. Now, a patient will not need to undergo screening in flu clinics for Covid.
For this purpose, the hospital administration has created four separate counters in the new OPD. Three counters are in the physiotherapy unit and one is on the first floor. On the first day, 206 patients who came to OPD were examined for Covid and three people were found positive. Dr VK Nagpal, medical superintendent of the GMSH, said that people are still afraid to get tested for Covid and we are encouraging people to get tested.
