Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh, has decided to open the outpatient department (OPD) from November 2.
GMCH has adopted PGI’s model and doctors will see patients only after registration through telephone. Patients must call the medical college numbers first. After that, the doctor will decide which patient to call in OPD and whom to consult through the telephone. OPD numbers are uploaded on the medical college website.
In the first phase, hospital will reopen only five OPDs, namely psychiatry, pulmonary medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology and radiotherapy.
