A French delegation visited Panjab University (PU) with aim of joint future collaborative programmes with the varsity. India and France will run joint degree courses and work together in the field of research.
The French delegation included Emmanuel Lebrun-Damins, counsel for common education, science and culture at the French Embassy, and Ophelie Belin, directrice of Alliance Francaise, Chandigarh. The universities of both countries are planning to work together in the field of higher education.
PU vice-chancellor Raj Kumar informed about PU’s achievements and said that the varsity is conducting more than 150 courses offered by 78 departments. Lebrun-Damins said that France would like to collaborate on artificial intelligence, medicine, environmental engineering and science.
