E-commerce giant Flipkart has announced the Big Freedom Sale to take on Amazon and Snapdeal’s Independence Day sales. While Amazon is already live with its sale, Flipkart and Snapdeal sales starts from August 10.
Flipkart Big Freedom Sale will start from August 10 and run till the midnight of August 12. The company is offering a range of discounts, deals and offers across all categories during this sale period. A day ahead of the sale, Flipkart has announced its deals and offers under its sneek peek page.
The sale will have Block Buster deals that refresh every 8 hours, price crash, Rush Hour, The Freedom Countdown in which prices of products drop for 31 minutes and one big deal every hour. There will be up to 30 per cent off on top feature phones.
— Honor 7A, 32GB at Rs 7,999: Flipkart is giving a discount of Rs 3000 on Honor 7A. The smartphone originally costs Rs 10,999 for the 32GB model but Flipkart will sell it at Rs 7,999 during the sale. Huawei Honor 7A smartphone was launched in April 2018 at Rs 10,247. The phone sports a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1440 pixels. It is powered by octa-core processor and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Huawei Honor 7A packs a 13MP primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The Huawei Honor 7A runs Android 8.0 and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery.
— iPhone SE at Rs 17,999: The iPhone SE for 32GB will sell for Rs 17,999 instead of Rs 26,000. The e-commerce giant is basically a 30 per cent discount on the phone. It originally costs Rs 27,000.
–Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 at Rs 10,499: Flipkart calls this a Hero offer but there is a discount of only Rs 500 on the phone. It costs Rs 10,999 and will sell at Rs 10,499 during the offer. Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 smartphone was launched last year. It comes with a 5.99-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels. The phone is powered by an octa-core processor and comes with 3GB of RAM. There’s 32GB of internal storage which is expandable.Th Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel front camera. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 5000mAh.
— Honor 9 Lite at Rs 10,999: Flipkart has chopped the price of Honor 9 Lite and the starting price will be Rs 10,999 during the sale. The 64 GB variant which originally costs Rs 16,999 will cost only Rs 14,999 during the offer while the 32GB model which costs Rs 13,999 on other days will be available at Rs 10,999 during the sale.
Honor 9 Lite was launched in 2017. The phone features a 5.65-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels. Honor 9 Lite price in India starts from Rs 10,364. The phone is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that’s expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Honor 9 Lite packs a 13MP primary camera on the rear and a 13MP front shooter for selfies.The Honor 9 Lite runs Android 8.0 and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery.
— Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro at Rs 9,999: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will sell at as low as Rs 9999 during the sale but there’s a catch. There is no direct price cut applied on it. You have to give your Redmi Note 4 to get a price cut of Rs 4000 on the Note 5 Pro. Further, if you are a CitiBank credit card user, you will get a discount of Rs 999 on this. There is extra off of over Rs 1000 on the regular exchange value.
— Google Pixel 2, 2XL starting at Rs 41,999: Google Pixel 2 will sell at Rs 41,999 during the Flipkart Big Freedom Sale but there is a catch in this too. The original cost of Pixel 2 64GB is Rs 61,000. There is a flat discount of Rs 11,001 during the sale. Further, Flipkart is giving a flat cashback of Rs 8,000 on select bank card. This makes the effective cost Rs 41,999. In case your card is not eligible, then you will have to pay Rs 49,999 for the device.
Flipkart is giving a buyback value of Rs 31,000 for Pixel 2 if you upgrade your phone on Flipkart within 8 months.
— Samsung phones: Flipkart sneek peek page also mentions the Samsung Galaxy unpack event that is set to happen on August 9. The e-commerce site has not mentioned anything on the website but we are guessing that the phone could go on sale the same day it is launched globally.
Samsung Galaxy on6 with 64GB storage will sell at Rs 13,490 instead of Rs 15,490 during the sale. The Galaxy OnNxt, J3 Pro, On Max, and Galaxy S7 Edge will also see price cuts.
There is a cashback of up to Rs 4000 on Galaxy S8/S8 Plus and Rs 6000 on Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.
