The Haryana government has decided to make products of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) available to consumers through Hafed’s outlets /sales centres.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited and FPO at the Hafed Corporate Office in the presence of Haryana Cooperative Minister Dr Banwari Lal.
The government has taken this decision to increase the income of the farmers. The Cooperative Minister said that with a view to doubling the income of farmers, FPOs are being provided a platform through State Cooperative. Dr Banwari Lal said that in order to provide support to the FPOs, State Cooperative has made honey, Murabbas (Amla murabba, apple murabba, harad murabba, ginger murabba, garlic murabba).
