Farmers’ body to organise All India Road Blockade on Nov 5

Major farmer federations with over 500 constituent organisations met today at Gurudwara Rakabganj, New Delhi, and announced an all India road blockade on November 5, 2020.

The farmers’ bodies, including the entire working group and state chapter representatives of All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) and the federations led by farmer leaders Balbir Singh Rajewal and Gurnam Singh Chanduni, also announced the following decisions:

1. There shall be a coordination of farmer federations to spearhead the fight against the three Farm Acts 2020 and Electricity Bill 2020. This shall be led by the newly launched Programme Coordination Body.

2. There shall be a Committee of the Coordination Body which shall include VM Singh, Balbir Singh Rajewal, Gurnam Singh, Raju Shetty and Yogendra Yadav. The Committee shall take coordinate the initial two programmes.

3.  A ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest shall be held on November 26 and 27.

4. The demand shall be focussed on withdrawal of recently passed 3 Farm Acts and Electricity Bill 2020.

5. The road blockade protests will include huge state-wise/region-wise build-up of mass mobilisations and movements focusing on these demands.

6. All over India farmers will protest before govt offices including central government offices, offices of BJP leaders and their allies.
