An explosion occurred at a house here on Wednesday evening, said police sources.
An explosive, perhaps a hand grenade, was thrown at a Sector 10 house in a broad day light today evening. The alleged attack was launched at House No 575, reportedly belong to a businessman. No casualty have been reported in the incident. The matter is under investigation.
CCTV footage shows attackers leaving in an autorickshaw. Meanwhile, the Chandigarh Police has cordoned off the area, and fire tenders rush to the spot. The nearby residents heard a loud noise and panic gripped across the sector.
Following the explosion, a team of the bomb detection squad was called in to collect the samples, they said, adding that the incident took place at the house located in upscale Sector 10 here.
