Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been put on life-support system and his health continues to remain critical, the AIIMS said in a statement on Thursday.
BJP stalwart and the three time prime minister, Atal Bihar Vajpayee was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi on June 11 with kidney tract infection, urinary tract infection, low urine output and chest congestion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the AIIMS again on Thursday after the hospital in a statement said that health of Atal Bihari Vajpayee remains critical.
PM Modi on Wednesday evening visited AIIMS around 7:15 pm to enquire about Vajpayee’s condition and stayed there for about 50 minutes.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and BJP lawmaker Meenakshi Lekhi also visited the hospital. Many BJP leaders have visited the hospital.
