Emotional Quotient in Education System: Workshop at Ashiana Public School with Cr. Jagmohan Bhogal

A workshop was conducted by Cr. Jagmohan Bhogal in Ashiana Public School, Sector 46- A on  24th August 2024. The workshop emphasized on the significance of Emotional Quotient (EQ) in the education system, highlighting its impact on students’ success and well-being through various activities. Cr. Jagmohan Bhogal stressed that EQ is a vital tool for educators to understand and inculcate in their students. The teachers were informed that EQ is a tool which is used to measure a person’s emotional intelligence, i.e their ability to recognize and understand emotions in themselves and others.
EQ typically assesses various aspects of emotional intelligence, such as self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. EQ is a learned skill that can be developed through practice and training. High EQ individuals tend to have better communication skills, empathy, and conflict resolution abilities. EQ is linked to improved mental health, including lower stress levels and increased resilience.   Various  tools to measure EQ were also discussed during the session.
The queries were addressed to the satisfaction of the teachers.
