The Election Commission has announced the poll schedule for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram.

Holding a press conference, the EC said polls in Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, MP, Telangana to have 8.2 crore male, 7.8 crore female voters, 60.2 lakh first-time voters. “We have met all stakeholders, including political parties and enforcement agencies, ahead of five assembly polls,” CEC Rajiv Kumar.He said: “Assembly elections in five states to have 1.77 lakh polling stations, webcasting facility at 1.01 lakh booths: Election Commission.”
“Election Commission has given special emphasis on making electoral rolls inclusive, focus will be on roll-to-poll conversion,” said CEC Rajiv Kumar, adding, “Election Seizure Management System being introduced for five assembly polls for enhancing oversight for inducement-free elections.”All political parties have been gearing for the high-octane battle in the five states.
The Congress is eyeing a return to power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and a win in Madhya Pradesh.The Congress is also eyeing Telangana where the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led by K Chandrasekhar Rao has been in power for the last 10 years.The BJP is also gearing to retain power in Madhya Pradesh and eyeing to return to power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
