On Friday morning, a corpse was found in the washroom of the Greater Mohali Region Development Authority (GMADA) in phase 8. This was a heartbreaking tragedy. Mohan Lal, who lived in Sector 22 Chandigarh and was in the later stages of the sixties, has been identified as deceased.
The GMADA office was visited by Lal yesterday to discuss a problem concerning his Mullanpur property. His family was concerned when he did not return home that night, so they reported him missing to the police. Through the use of his mobile phone’s geographical location, the authorities tracked Lal down to the GMADA office.
On Friday morning, both the police and Lal’s family arrived at the office to look for him. They found his Honda Activa parked outside, raising further alarms. After searching the premises, they discovered his lifeless body in the restroom. The Phase 8 police immediately took custody of the remains and transported them to the Phase 6 civil hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Thus far, initial inquiries seem to show that Lal may have succumbed to an episode of heart attack, but a formal confirmation will not become available until the postmortem results are released. The community is in shock as local officials look into the circumstances surrounding his death in great detail.
This sad event serves as a reminder of the need for health awareness, particularly for senior citizens, and the necessity of seeking immediate medical assistance in potentially dangerous circumstances. As authorities continue their investigations, more developments on the inquiry are anticipated.
