In a meeting of the Chandigarh District Bar Association (DBA) on Friday, it was decided that the Bar Association would provide free judicial assistance to the farmers. Since the introduction of the 3 Farm Bills, farmers throughout the country have been protesting against them and the DBA took this step to show their support to the farmers.
Members of the Bar Association said that the agricultural bills are against the interests of farmers and the public and they will cooperate in every way with the farmers who are fighting against them.
Also, the DBA has raised the demand to the government to withdraw the agricultural bill.
The three bills are: The Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill.
