Mohali recorded 47 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the tally to 1,098 with 481 active cases. The cases were recorded from Kharar, Dera Bassi, Zirakpur, Nayagaon and Mohali.
Dr Manjit Singh, Mohali civil surgeon, said, “All the patients have been admitted to the Covid care centre at Gian Sagar Hospital in Banur.”
Mohali had crossed the 500-mark on July 18 and 538 new cases were reported in just 18 days. The 1,000 mark was crossed on August 5. The recovery count stands at 600 and the death toll is at 17.
