As many as 244 cases and one death were reported in Chandigarh on Friday, taking the case tally to 11,212 and death toll to 142. There are 2,390 active cases in the city.
In Mohali, 177 positive cases and four deaths were reported, taking the death toll to 177. As many as 197 were discharged, bringing down the number of active cases to 2,353.
Out of the new cases, 3 were from Banur, 4 from Dera Bassi and Kurali, 7 from Kharar, 9 from Lalru, 145 from Mohali urban, 3 from Nayagoan and 2 from Zirakpur.
In Panchkula, one death and 121 new cases of Covid-19 were reported, taking the count to 5,550 and death count to 77. There are 1,196 are active cases and 4,277 have been cure and discharged.
Out of the new cases, 88 were from urban Panchkula and others from Rajiv Colony, Pinjore, MDC, Marranwala, Kharak Mangoli, Karanpur, Kalka and Bir Ghaggar .
