Haryana government has once again set the rate of Covid 19 test in view of expert’s opinion and public interest. Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Rajiv Arora said that RT-PCR test will now be done for ₹900 and Rapid Antigen Test will be done for ₹500. The new rates are effective immediately. Earlier, the rate for RT-PCR test was ₹1,200 and for antigen test ₹650.
The Health Department will take strict action against any private laboratory that charges more than these rates and penalty will be imposed under Section 188 of the India Penal Code. Arora said that if any private lab charges more than the fixed price for Covid 19 test, one should immediately complain to the health department with evidence.
