Mohali witnessed only 88 new Covid-19 cases today, taking the count to 10,833. For the first time after a month, no death was reported. Till now, 199 deaths have been reported in the district. There are 1,687 active cases in the district.
In Chandigarh, three people lost the battle to Covid-19 on Friday, taking the death toll to 172. Also, 148 people tested positive for Covid, taking the tally to 12,360. There are 1,792 active cases in the city.
Mohali Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said, “Though the cases are on the down side, I urge the residents to continue taking precautions.”
In Panchkula, four deaths and 70 Covid-19 cases were reported, taking the death toll to 91 and total cases reached 6,189. There are 790 active cases in the district.
Out of those who tested positive, two were health workers. As per the information shared by the Panchkula health department, till date 125 health workers have been infected with the virus.
