‘Farz Manukhta Da’, a group formed to help those affected with Covid-19, has released a helpline number for Corona positive patients which will work 24×7 to resolve the grievances of people through its district-level volunteers.
One can contact on numbers 9115127102 or 9115158100 for help. The helpline receives calls for requirement of ventilators, oxygen beds, or some special medicine. The helpline also ensures that the volunteers deliver food to the families of Covid patients.
The coordinator of the helpline, Kanwarbir Singh Ruby Sidhu, said that the initiative began on May 3.
Divulging more, Kanwarbir Ruby said that in case of any emergency, assistance is provided to the people through volunteers by coordinating with the District Administration, besides nodal officers of the Covid care hospital for ventilators and oxygen beds.
The UT administration has also fixed the price for re-filling of various types of oxygen cylinders and the agencies have been instructed to re-fill cylinders according to the rules and quotas set.
The price of re-filling of D-type oxygen cylinders has been fixed at Rs 295 per cylinder. Similarly, the price of re-filling of A and B-type cylinders has been fixed at Rs 175 per cylinder.
Action will be taken against agencies for illegally filling cylinders, charging more than the fixed price or supplying.
