Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (MC) is geared up to prevent wastage of water this summer and for this purpose, it has formed a team of 18 people. Three Supervision Officers have also been deployed to oversee this team.
It has been appealed to the residents that if they notice anyone wasting water or misusing it anywhere in the city, then one can immediately inform the MC on the number: 2540200. A fine will be imposed on the defaulter and if one does not pay it, then that fine will be added in the water bill.
