Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) organized an expert panel discussion on “Future of Artificial Intelligence in Education” at Plaksha University in Mohali today.
AI is skill that must be incorporated in the school curricula to prepare them in understanding its potential impact as well as learning about the technology and technique, said Dr Shashank Tamaskar, PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics and one of the founding faculty at Plaksha, who has been instrumental in preparing students in cutting-edge robotics and AI.
Dr Tamaskar did his MS and doctorate in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Purdue University and has several patents and awards to his credit including Boeing Excellence Award for outstanding research. He also founded and led the development of the first student satellite of IIT Bombay, Pratham, which was launched by ISRO in September 2016.
