CM CHANNI EXHORTS PEOPLE TO BANK UPON DEVELOPMENTAL ERA USHERED IN BY CONGRESS GOVT

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday exhorted the people to bank upon the developmental era ushered in by Congress-led Punjab government and opt for the government that stood by the people through thick and thin.

Addressing a mammoth gathering here at Grain Market, CM Channi announced Rs. 10 crores grant for the overall development of Rampura Phul assembly constituency. Besides this, fulfilling the long pending demand of public, CM Channi also announced upgradation of Civil Hospital- Rampura and laid foundation stone for Rampura city flyover which will ease the entire city traffic. The flyover will be built between Railway station and Geeta Bhawan Road at a cost of Rs 63.55 crores.

Terming his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal as an outsider, CM Channi said that the people of Punjab were wise enough to choose Punjabi to run the state rather than giving a chance to an outsider. CM Channi said that people have already seen the functioning of Captain and Badal clan, but the time was now to vote for government that believes in maintaining peace, harmony and developing Punjab as per their aspirations.Also speaking during the occasion, Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh appreciating the role of Channi as CM said that he took 99 decisions in just 90 days.He said that Rampura city will soon have two ITIs, foundation stones of which were laid today by CM. Apart from Rs 6 crores construction cost, Rs 3.6 crores will also be spent upon the purchase of requisite infrastructure for the ITIs.

The minister also said that courses as per the requirement of Guru Gobind Singh Refinery -Bathinda, will be offered in these ITIs, so that the youth from this area may get jobs in the refinery.Former Minister and Rampura MLA Gurpreet Singh Kangar also addressed on the occasion saying CM Channi is actually ruling the hearts of common man and is Aam Aadmi in real sense. Kangar also welcomed the newly inducted Makhan Singh Bhairupa of BSP into the Congress fold. He thanked the Chief Minister for doling out grants to the tune of crores for area and making his current visit a memorable one.Earlier, CM Channi also dedicated building of Veterinary Science College worth Rs. 105 crore to the people of Rampura. Built over an area of 67 acres, the college is churning out best of veterinary experts to meet with burgeoning demand of same in animal care sector.
