Chandigarh on Sunday reported 96 new cases of Covid-19 with a positivity rate of 5.50 per cent.The cumulative number of cases has reached 66,061.
A total of 1,744 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.The death toll remains 1,079 while 64,661 people have been cured till date.
The number of active cases has risen to 321 whereas 11 patients were discharged, including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per Ministry of Health guidelines.
Chandigarh on Saturday recorded its highest single-day spike since June as 70 fresh Covid-19 cases were recorded, taking the total number of active cases in the City to 236.The City had reported 49 new cases and no new deaths on Friday.
