The India Trade Promotion Organization, New Delhi has organized the 40th India International Trade Fair-2021 at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, 2021.
The theme for the IITF-2021 is Aatamnirbhar Bharat. The main objective of the Fair is to boost business opportunities and to share various techniques/reforms used by different states/UTs as well as foreign countries.The Chandigarh Pavilion was inaugurated by Jagjit Singh, PCS, Director Industries, U.T., Chandigarh today.In the Chandigarh Pavilion, 10 stalls have been constructed out of which 06 stalls were allotted to various departments of Chandigarh Administration viz. Tourism Department, Govt. Museum & Art Gallery, CITCO, Model Jail Department to highlight the achievements made in the respective fields and to promote tourism.
The 4 MSMEs which have set up stalls are also receiving substantial number of trade inquiries from the visitors and are also expecting good business through this fair. It is noteworthy to mention that 04 MSMEs of Chandigarh have setup their stalls to exhibit the products manufactured by them viz decorative show pieces, brass items, Natural Herbal Aggarbati-dhoop, Cones and Hawan Dhoop Powder, string lights and lamp, idols of different types antique metals, aggarbatties, Pizza ATM.
In view of the theme of the India International Trade Fair-2021, Chandigarh Administration has tried to depict the potential of manufacturing sector at Chandigarh to promote the “ Aatamnirbhar Bharat”. Various departments of U.T., Chandigarh have showcased the “City beautiful” through a wide range of stalls, while attempting to evolve into a “Smart City.” The beauty, cleanliness, greenery and openness of the Union Territory of Chandigarh have been depicted in the Chandigarh Pavilion so as to attract the tourists to the City Beautiful.
The view of Sukhna Lake & Open hand has also been displayed in the Chandigarh Pavilion.
