With 1,834 cases, Chandigarh clocked its highest daily Covid count ever.

The positivity rate stood shoot up at 25.21 per cent on Friday. The active caseload rose to 7000-mark. While the overall tally reached 74,475, the death toll stood at 1,086. Meanwhile, 391 patients were cured of the infection, taking the total recoveries to 66,131. In the past seven days, the average number of positive cases reported from the city is 831 and the positivity rate is 18.53 per cent.
