The Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA), Chandigarh, has extended the process of issuance and affixation of high-security registration plates (HSRPs) and third-registration mark (colour-coded sticker) on the vehicle series ‘CH01BK’ and ‘CH01BL’ by a month (March 31). Currently, the process of installing High Security Number Plate (HSRP) and colour-coded sticker is underway at the RLA, Sector-17.
Owners of the series can apply for the affixation at any of the three locations — RLA Office, Sector 17, SDM (South); Sports Complex, Sector 42; and SDM (East), CTU Workshop, Industrial Area, Phase I, Chandigarh.
The due procedure can be checked on the official website: chdtransport.gov.in.
The registered owners of vehicles were to apply for the affixation of the HSRP and third-registration mark within February. It has also been instructed that if the number plate is not changed within the stipulated time, then a challan will be imposed. According to the information given by the office, only a HSRP with colour-coded sticker or third registration mark will be valid.
A support centre has been started in the RLA office where people can get all the information related to HSRP. The department has deployed two employees, who clear the queries and also help in filling the form. They can be contacted on 0172-2700341.
