The Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana will be holding online elections of the Bar Associations of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, including the Punjab and Haryana Bar Association (2020-2021). The following schedule has been announced:
-Upto date corrected voter list of all the voters of all the Bar Associations with their phone number/enrolment number will be finalised by September 12, 2020.
-September 16- Calling of nominations for the post of president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary and treasurer from 10am to 5pm will be taken by respective returning officers.
-September 17- Scrutiny of nominations
-Withdrawal of nominations
-Final list of candidates will be displayed on notice board and same
– will be sent to candidates on WhatsApp and through mail
Election dates
-September 30 – All the Bar Associations of Punjab, Chandigarh and Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar Associations from 9am to 2pm
-October 1 – Election of all the Bar Associations of Haryana from 9am to 2pm
