In a shocking and horrifying discovery, Anwarul Azim Anar, a member of Parliament from Bangladesh’s ruling party, the Awami League, was found dead in Kolkata. Anar had been missing since May 13th, and extensive searches had been conducted to locate him. Tragically, when he was found, it was clear he had been brutally murdered in a particularly gruesome manner, marking a devastating blow to his family, colleagues, and the wider community.

In connection with the case, a Bangladeshi butcher named Jihad Hawladar aged twenty-four years has been apprehended by West Bengal Police, suspected to have murdered Anwarul Azim Anar. It is being said that he was acting according to instructions from a certain Akhtaruzzaman who is also an American citizen of Bangladeshi descent and a close friend to deceased person. The notion around is that Akhtaruzzaman happens to be the brain behind this inhuman killing.

According to police sources, Hawladar and four other Bangladeshi accomplices smothered Anar to death in a rented flat owned by Akhtaruzzaman in Kolkata’s New Town area. The details of the murder are particularly disturbing. The accused reportedly skinned Anar’s entire body, removed and minced the flesh to destroy his identity, and then packed the remains in separate bags. The bones were also cut into pieces before disposal. These remains were then scattered across various locations within Kolkata.

The investigation has revealed a motive as shocking as the murder itself. Initial probes suggest that Akhtaruzzaman paid a hefty sum of Rs 5 crore (approximately $660,000 USD) to have Anar killed. The exact nature of the financial dispute between Anar and Akhtaruzzaman is still under investigation, but the significant sum involved indicates a serious conflict.

The police are currently seeking a remand for the arrested suspect, Jihad Hawladar in order to retrieve his statements and track-down the missing body parts. They are also looking for Akhtaruzzaman, who they suspect has absconded to the United States. Authorities are working together with various overseas bodies to trace him
