Azad Group releases election manifesto for Mohali MC Elections

Former Mayor and Azad group head Kulwant Singh released the election manifesto at the election office of Azad Group in Sector 79 in Mohali.

Addressing the media, he said that whatever promises the Azad Group has made in its manifesto will be fulfilled after winning. He said that the infrastructure of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar will be strengthened in every way.

Kulwant Singh said, “We have promised the people of the city through our election manifesto that we will construct a flyover on 200 feet of road in Mohali, which will reduce traffic congestion in the city. To make Mohali’s climate clean and pollution-free, 30 to 40% of the municipal budget will be spent on beautification of parks, landscaping, flowers and plants as well as beautiful trees. A state-of-the-art auditorium and ‘Arts Centre’ will be set up for people from all walks of life including intellectuals, writers, artists and journalists. After winning, we will run city bus service in the city.”

The former mayor said that in the last five years they have brought two big sewerage and water projects from the Central government to Mohali, which has brought relief to the residents of the city. The Azad Group head said that Congress and Akali are contesting municipal elections together for fear of defeat, but even then all the candidates of Azad Group will win by record votes.
