Saina Nehwal continued her winning streak from Commonwealth Games 2018 to advance to the semifinals of Asia Championship as she defeated Lee Jang Mi 21-15, 21-13 on Friday.
Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu, however, had a bad day as they fell in the quarterfinals to put an end to their Asia Championship campaign. While Srikanth fell 21-12, 21-15 to Lee Chong Wei, Sindhu lost 21-19, 21-10 to Sung Ji Hyun in the women’s single category.
PV Sindhu follows Kidambi Srikanth out of Asian Championship. Sindhu loses 21-19, 21-10 to Sung Ji Hyun in the quarterfinals. Despite a tough first game, Sung Ji Hyun proves to be the better of the two shuttlers in the second game.
