In the women’s singles final match of 35 age group, Dr Nidhi of Delhi defeated Binny Bansal of Chandigarh by 2-1, during the All India Sudama Cup Masters Badminton Championship.
Binny defeated Dr. Nidhi 21-12 in the first set to take a 1-0 lead in the match. But in the second set, Dr Nidhi came back to beat Binny 21-17 and 21-18. In the women’s doubles in the 40+ age group, Deepika and Rashmi won the title by defeating the pair of Neetu and Sandhya 21-12 and 21-17. In the women’s 65+ age group singles final match, Manjeet Sharma defeated Dr Madhulika 21-13 and 21-11 to get the first position. In the first semi-final of the men’s 40 age group doubles match, Ashish and Harshdeep Rawat defeated the pair of Mandeep and Sarbjit by the margin of 21-13 and 21-16 and in the second semi-final, the pair of Dr Vikram Sachdeva and Pankaj Bansal defeated Jot Singh and Sarbjit. Defeated Onkarjit Singh 21-13, 20-22 and 21-19 to ensure a place in the final.
