In Chandigarh, 127 cases and two deaths were reported on Wednesday, taking the total count to 12,820 and death toll to 179. There are 1,448 active cases in the city. Chandigarh administration reduced the Covid testing charges to ₹1,200 for RTPCR and ₹650 for Rapid Antigen testing.
As many as 62 positive cases and one death were reported in Mohali. There are 11,088 cases, death toll stand at 202 and 1,227 cases are active.
In Panchkula, 53 new cases and one death were reported, taking the tally to 6,371 and death toll to 98. There are 479 active cases in the district.
Also, an order read that Haryana government has stopped the practice of pasting posters outside the house of Covid patients. This practice had been adopted by Punjab due to the fear and stigma of social isolation.
