Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Saturday said that action would be taken against all the guilty responsible for the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib as the investigations of SIT are already on the fast and right track.
Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of Bela-Paniyali road and bridge over the river Sutlej during a state level function here, CM Channi said that though he was poor but not weak and all those involved in the sacrilege incidents would be unmasked. He further said that all those guilty who pushed our youth into drugs would not be spared at any cost and with the opening of report against the drug mafia all the big sharks involved in the drug trafficking would be exposed.
Reiterating his government’s firm commitment to stamp out corruption from the public life, CM Channi said that every decision is taken for the overall development and prosperity of the state besides welfare of its people with absolute sincerity and determination. CM Channi further said that clean and transparent administration was examplified when none of any shopkeeper/vendor was harrassed during Diwali for money.
Lambasting at the Akalis, CM Channi said that Shiromani Akali Dal government had always blatantly ignored the interests of the state and gave priority only to its vested interests. He also accused Akalis in sync with BJP for indulging in ugly game of politics thereby fanning hatred by playing the card of caste and religion. Blaming Akalis for their apathetic attitude to accomplish the prestigious theme park at Sri Chamkaur Sahib which depicts the glorious legacy of Sikh history, who deliberately created hurdles in its way rather making any constructive efforts for its completion, despite repeated requests by him in this regard. CM Channi further said that several self styled common man (aam adami) has surfaced now-a-days just for politicking who are not even remotely connected with the basic problems and needs of the people. He said such peoples are exploiting the emotions of the people by promising a moon to them with a sole motive to pursue their political ambitions.
