Chandigarh once again crossed the 1000-mark as 1,338 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours. On Thursday, the city had recorded 1,114 cases. This is now the highest spike for the first time since the pandemic began in 2020.Active cases in the city now stand over 5,500. The union territory’s positivity rate stands at 20.80 per cent at the moment.A media bulletin said that 330 patients have been discharged. The city had already recorded 1084 deaths to Covid-19.
