Agitating farmer organisations in Punjab on Wednesday had agreed to ease their indefinite rail blockade against Centre’s farm bills to allow only goods trains to ply on the tracks. No other passenger trains including mail and express will be operated.
The Railways has suspended the operation of special trains going towards Punjab and Jammu till November 4 citing security reasons.
Ambala senior commercial officer Hari Mohan said that 44 trains including special trains for the festive season have been cancelled and destination stations of 34 trains have been changed.
