As many as 7,263 students from Chandigarh and Mohali will appear for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Mains conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from Tuesday.
The test will be conducted in five centres. JEE mains will be a computer-based exam and social distancing will be maintained. All candidates will have to wear a mask while going to the exam centre even and a separate mask will be provided to the candidates at the test centre. The NTA had also organised a training session for the teachers conducting the exam.
In January this year, 8,254 students had appeared at four centres. Best of both scores will be taken for candidates and those wishing to get admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will have to appear for the JEE Advanced on September 27.
