Chandigarh witnessed a single day spike of 49 cases, the highest in December today.
The active case count in Chandigarh has now reached 170. On Thursday, the city had reported 17 cases of Covid-19 and no death due to the virus. Fourteen patients have been cured of the disease in the past 24 hours.
12,243 doses given in a single day
As many as 12, 243 COVID vaccinations doses were administered today, highest in a single day during last four months. At some places the vaccination is still going on and by 9 pm, we may reach the figure of 13000. A total of 10 additional teams were added today and 10 more teams will be added from tomorrow. All COVID vaccination Centres will remain open on Saturday and Sunday, as usual. All those adults who are yet to take 1st or 2nd dose shall immediately get their dose without any further delay. Children (15 to 18 year) will start from 3rd January 2022 as per schedule and all preparations have been done for the same.
