The central government has approved setting up two oxygen plants in Chandigarh.
One plant would be set up at the Civil Hospital, Sector 48, being run by the GMCH, and other will be built on the premises of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32.
Administrator VP Singh Badnore thanked Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi for this. He said that after the setting up of the plant, oxygen would be supplied through pipeline instead of cylinders. On Monday, Badnore had held a review meeting with the officials. It was informed that in view of Covid, laser show will not be organised at Sukhna Lake this time. He said that the administration will approve Ramlila competitions, but certain conditions will be fixed for it. These competitions will not be organised in closed spaces or theatre.
