Haryana Yog Aayog and Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health, Chandigarh Administration organised a 2 days Hybrid National Conference from September 16 to 17 on the theme “Role of Yoga and Naturopathy in the Management of Post COVID-19 Symptoms” It has come up at the time when the whole world is affected by COVID19 and is looking for the ways to deal with such unprecedented situation
The second day of the ongoing conference was graced by Mr. Sarpreet Singh Gill, IAS, Education Secretary and Dr Pallika Arora, PCS, Director School & Higher Education. Esteemed guests were welcomed by Dr Jaideep Arya, Chairman of Haryana Yoga Aayog and Dr. Sapna Nanda, Principal of the college accompanied by other dignitaries.
Dr. Sapna Nanda, while welcoming the guests quoted “The collaborative efforts of the college and Haryana Yog Aayog aim towards spreading the message of Yoga to every nook and corner of the country.”
Dr. Jaideep Arya while addressing the audience stressed upon the holistic benefits of Yoga and Naturopathy to attain overall wellbeing and urged everyone to include traditional practices like fasting and healing through natural herbs.
Sarpreet Singh Gill in his presidential address congratulated and appreciated the Joint efforts of Haryan Yog Aayog and College for organising the event and quoted “the urge to imbibe yoga must come from within and it should not be imposed. Dr. Pallika Arora assured everyone of the whole hearted support for the inclusion of Yoga in school and college level.
The occasion also witnessed the release of annual college magazine “KALASH-the essence of Yoga” comprising scholarly articles on yoga and related areas contributed by the students’ experts and ardent followers of science of Yoga.
